Description
Christ School seeks a high-energy, forward-thinking strength and conditioning professional ready to take ownership of a full performance program. This full-time, 12-month role is ideal for a current collegiate assistant or graduate assistant who is prepared to step into a head position and build a comprehensive system from the ground up.
Christ School is a nationally-regarded, all-boys boarding and day school for grades 8-12, located in the mountains of western North Carolina just outside Asheville. With more than 20 varsity and sub-varsity teams competing in the NCISAA, Christ School offers a competitive athletic environment supported by strong institutional commitment and excellent facilities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement safe, effective training programs for adolescent athletes.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength and Conditioning, or a related field. (Master's preferred, could be in a related field)
Certification from recognized organizations, such as:
o CSCCA - SCCC
o NSCA-CSCS
NSCA National Strength and Conditioning Association +4
Minimum of four years of strength and conditioning experience at the college or high school level. Experience working with male adolescent athletes and/or within a boarding school environment
Familiarity with long-term athletic development (LTAD) principles and performance technology.
Ability to motivate athletes and build positive energy.
High standards for discipline and integrity.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with coaches, athletes, and families.
