Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead and grow our youth and adult training programs. This role is heavily focused on youth athlete development, with a strong emphasis on working with Williamsburg’s premier soccer teams, while also supporting athletes across multiple sports.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Athlete Development

• Lead strength and conditioning sessions for youth athletes (upper elementary through high school)
• Coach team-based training programs, with a primary focus on soccer athletes
• Work with athletes from a variety of sports including rowing, swimming, tennis, hockey, and baseball
• Coach general strength & conditioning classes for youth athletes

Programming

• Design and implement structured training programs and cycles (strength, speed, conditioning)
• Modify programming based on age, sport, and skill level
• Track athlete progress and adjust programs accordingly

Adult Coaching

• Coach adult weightlifting classes
• Coach adult endurance-based classes
• Provide a high-energy, engaging class environment

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate effectively with parents, athletes, and team partners
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure program quality and consistency
• Represent 1607 APC professionally within the community

Requirements

• Experience in strength and conditioning coaching (youth experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of training principles for speed, strength, and athletic development
• Ability to coach groups of varying ages and skill levels
• High energy, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills
• Passion for developing athletes and building relationships

Preferred:

• Relevant certifications (CSCS etc.)
• Experience working with team sports (especially soccer)
• Background in athletics or competitive sports
