Company Overview
Oak Grove Technologies, LLC is an award-winning Service-
Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that
delivers customized business and training solutions to
both government and corporate clients. Founded in 2003 by
President and CEO, Mark Gross, Oak Grove has grown rapidly
and now has over 200 employees performing services in the fields
of training, information technology, strategic communications, and
analytical / intelligence analysis. Oak Grove’s mission is to provide
world-class services to customers, as well as provide employees
with a challenging, rewarding, and ethical place to work.
We support our veterans. In addition to client work, Oak Grove
is passionately involved with programs to benefit soldiers and
veterans who have served in the armed forces. We are also an
employer of veterans. One of Oak Grove’s primary goals is to
continue to serve our Nation through our contracts with the federal
government.
Dedication and hard work have paid off for Mark and Oak Grove
over the last six years, and as a result, the company is a proud
recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. In 2007, Oak
Grove was the first SDVOSB to receive the prestigious U.S.
Department of Defense (DoD) Nunn-Perry Award for Mentor-
Protégé Excellence. Oak Grove and its mentor, Science
Applications International Corporation, were among eight
companies recognized for their outstanding contributions to the
warfighter and our nation’s defense. Oak Grove also received the
Department of Defense SDVOSB Achievement Award in 2007.
Company History
Oak Grove experienced tremendous success in 2008 and 2009.
Mark was recognized as the 2008 Southeast Region and North
Carolina Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year. This
prestigious award was presented by the United States Small
Business Administration to those who have fulfilled a commitment
to the advancement of small business, including advocating
the cause of small business in the legislative process, and
volunteering time and services to small business interests and
groups. Mark was selected above his peers for his advocacy and
expertise on Veterans business issues. In May 2008, the Raleigh
News and Observer published a story on Mark, “Vet Pushes
Opportunity”, focusing on the successes of Oak Grove, and Mark’s
personal success as a veteran entrepreneur. As 2008 neared its
end, the North Carolina Technology Association named Oak Grove
Mid-sized Company of the Year. Additionally, in recognition of the
economic power of privately held businesses, DiversityBusiness.
com, the nation’s leading business-to-business internet site,
named Oak Grove No. 27 on the list of Top 100 Disabled Veteran-
Owned Businesses in the United States, and No. 90 on the Top
500 List of Veteran-Owned Businesses in the United States.
In late January of 2009, Oak Grove opened its third office and is
now fully operating out of Sierra Vista, Arizona. After numerous
contract wins in recent months, the Alexandria, Virginia office
location has relocated to a larger facility to better accommodate
Oak Grove’s continually expanding team.
As of last month, Oak Grove was named to the 28th Annual Inc. 5000 | 500 list of Fastest
Growing Private Companies in America for the second year in
a row. Oak Grove ranked on Inc.’s list of Top 100 Government
Service Companies both years as well. Most recently, Oak Grove
was named to the Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 list. The Fast
50 recognizes an elite collection of achievers.
