Founded in 1847 by the Sisters of Mercy, Saint Xavier University is the oldest Catholic Institution in Chicago. As a Catholic University and a Sisters of Mercy institution, SXU drives the mission of community, teaching, learning and research. Saint Xavier University seeks applicants for a full-time 9-month Instructor/Assistant Professor of Exercise Science to begin in August 2023.
The objective of the Exercise Science program is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical application necessary for today’s entry-level health science careers. The Exercise Science program is part of the National Strength and Conditioning Associations Educational Recognized Program (ERP) in which students will establish evidence-based practices, scientific knowledge, and practical work experience to bridge the gap between science and application. Program faculty are expected to work collaboratively with each other, faculty outside of the program, and community partners.
