Mercy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to support therapists in delivering exceptional rehabilitative care. In this role, you will prepare patients and treatment areas, assist with exercises under supervision, and help with mobility and equipment setup. You’ll maintain accurate basic documentation, follow infection-control and safety standards, and provide respectful, encouraging support to patients and families. Assist physical therapists with treatment sessions and patient preparation
Guide patients through prescribed exercises under supervision
Set up, clean, and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas
Monitor and report patient response and safety concerns to the therapist
Support patient mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics
Document basic treatment information in the EHR per clinic protocols
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and clinic cleanliness
Provide courteous, compassionate support to patients and families
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Uphold Mercy policies, HIPAA, and safety regulations at all times
