Description
About Found Strength
Found Strength is a new women’s strength training studio / boutique gym opening in Mountain View, designed around women 35+ who want to get strong.
We’re building a different kind of strength training environment: high-quality equipment, evidence-based coaching, individualized programming, and a welcoming space where women can learn to lift, keep progressing, and train for strength and lifelong health.
Members will have a mix of open-gym access with light coaching support, small-group lifting workshops, individualized programming, and more hands-on coaching when they need it.
We’re small on purpose: founded by a longtime women’s health and fitness product leader turned strength coach, with a small coaching team and a community we know by name.
The role
This is a hands-on coaching role with a lot of variety and room to shape how we do things.
On a given day, you might:
Coach the open floor - helping with form, technique, load selection, and progression
Lead a small-group lifting workshop or Foundations session
Assess a new member’s movement, strength, and training needs
Develop and adapt individualized strength programs
Recommend exercise modifications and corrective exercises based on assessment findings
Provide 1:1 coaching and progress check-ins with members
As one of our first coaches, you’ll also help shape the member experience and how our coaching model evolves. We’re looking for someone curious, creative, adaptable, and excited to help build something from the ground up.
Who you are
Certified through NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent, with current CPR/AED
Barbell coaching experience across all experience levels
Experienced with movement and strength assessments, exercise modifications, and corrective exercise
Comfortable developing individualized strength programs and progressing them over time
Experienced coaching women, ideally including women 35+
Warm and observant on the floor - you notice people and know when and how to step in
Curious and adaptable, with an interest in continuing to learn and helping shape a new coaching environment
Nice to have
CSCS, CES, USAW, Starting Strength, or similar strength-specific education
Pre/postnatal, menopause, pelvic health, or women’s health education
Interest in current research around strength training, muscle, bone, and healthy aging
The details
Pay: $30–50/hour, depending on experience
Hours: Part-time or full-time, W-2 hourly
Start: October/November 2026
Location: Mountain View, CA
